Colleen Ballinger speaks the truth, y’all…
Not being funny though you can learn to cook literally any time, like, I was taught how to look after myself at a very early age. Not by my school, but by my parents.
For those of you who do not know what is happening in my country.
This conflict between Imran Khan (former Pakistani cricketer now turned politician) and Nawaz Sharif (current Pakistani Prime Minister) has been dragging out for days now.
Imran Khan, as well as Tahir-Ul-Qadri, and their followers held a peaceful protest outside the Parliamentary House in Islamabad on 14th August (our independence day). They demanded that the Prime Minister, Sharif, resign. They say - and I believe them - that the elections were rigged on a massive scale and it is not his rightful position. They (the protesters) said that if he did not agree to their terms, they would start marching toward the Parliament house.
This is what is happening now. The peaceful protest has turned to violence as the police fire teargas. At least 264 people are injured in counting.
So many teachers and students in my school, including my principle, are saying that Imran Khan is wrong. My Principle feels that “the system must be allowed to run”. He says Imran Khan has done nothing to prove himself or to show that he is capable of leading the country. Let me tell you why he is wrong.
We don’t even have a system to let run in Pakistan, first of all. Secondly, Nawaz Sharif has been PM before, and has proved himself to be the utmost corrupt man. I could go into detail about that, but i’d rather not.
Imran Khan may not have done anything to prove himself, but an honest leader is better than one as corrupt as Nawaz Sharif. Imran Khan and Tahir-Ul-Qadri have made people in my country aware. People are fighting back, they are putting their foot down. This is what we need. We need a change. Even if Imran Khan never becomes the PM, at least he’ll have brought change. People will know their rights.
In short, innocent people are being killed and injured to let a corrupt system run, and to make sure people in Pakistan never learn to stand up for themselves.
